Tuesday was a rest day for the Connie and I. I spent the day pretty much just relaxing around the house, checking out a house (with a nice view) my brother-in-law is building for a well-off American and then watching the girls at their soccer games.
Day six was the return home and started with a great ride over the Whangamoa and Rai Saddles and into Havelock for fuel. And seeing how I hadn't ridden Queen Charlotte Drive on this trip so far then I thought I should remedy that
Following that last delicious bit of South Island riding it was time to sit on a boat for three hours or so and cross back over to the North Island. The trip was flat calm again and the ferry dumped me in Wellington at about 2:30. Then it was just a final 160km home to put the Connie away in her own shed after 3,115km of great riding! Job done!
